Design

UI/UX Designer

Concretely, you will: • Own and evolve the Design System — component library, token architecture (colour, spacing, typography, motion), RTL/LTR variant logic, and accessibility standards across web and mobile • Design end-to-end user flows for every platform vertical: discovery, listing creation, checkout, escrow confirmation, auction bidding, real estate inquiry, freelance project initiation, job application, community post creation, and token redemption • Lead the Arabic-native UX architecture — this means RTL layout as a first-class design decision, not a mirrored translation layer; Arabic typography hierarchy; and cultural interaction patterns that reflect MENA user behaviour • Define and maintain the mobile-first interaction model — every flow must be designed for a mid-range Android on 3G before it is designed for desktop; performance and clarity are primary constraints • Design the seller dashboard experience — listing management, order queue, earnings, analytics, escrow status, payout flows, and subscription tier management for vendors of all sizes • Design the buyer experience across the full lifecycle: browse → discovery → product evaluation → checkout → post-purchase tracking → review → resale • Create the social and community design language — stories format, shared channel layouts, geo-targeted content cards, and the interaction patterns that connect commerce and community without creating noise • Design the gamification and digital currency UX — token balance, earn/burn flows, leaderboard interfaces, challenge completion states, and reward animations • Build and run a continuous user testing cadence — synthesise findings into design decisions with measurable impact on conversion, retention, and session depth • Produce design specifications tight enough that engineers can implement without ambiguity — annotated Figma files, edge case documentation, and responsive behaviour specs • Conduct competitive UX audits of MENA and global platforms on an ongoing basis — identify interaction patterns worth adopting and failure modes worth avoiding

Requirements

Required Qualifications • 5+ years UI/UX design experience with at least one large-scale multi-surface digital product (marketplace, super app, fintech platform, or equivalent) • Figma mastery — component architecture, auto-layout discipline, variables/tokens, multi-mode theming, and collaborative file organisation for teams • Demonstrable experience designing RTL (Arabic or Hebrew) interfaces as a native layout — not as a post-hoc mirror • Proven ability to design mobile-first products with measurable performance constraints — experience designing for low-bandwidth, mid-range device conditions • End-to-end UX ownership — from user research and flow mapping through to handoff specs and QA review • Experience designing complex transactional flows: checkout, payment confirmation, escrow or trust mechanics, or financial dashboards • Design systems authorship — you have built and maintained a component library used by multiple engineers, not just contributed to one • Strong visual design craft — typography, grid systems, colour theory, iconography, and motion — applied to product UI (not just marketing) • Portfolio that demonstrates range: you can show complex data-dense dashboards AND emotionally resonant consumer experiences in the same body of work
